Wayne Huisman
Founder, Owner - U.S. Office
Wayne has 30 years of international business experience and has traveled to more than 30 countries for various business endeavors. Prior to starting Huisman Global Ventures in 2005, Wayne was the Vice President of sales, marketing, and product development for a private medical manufacturing company. At that time, Wayne became familiar with the Asian markets for sourcing of medical components. Wayne’s passion is to partner with companies like yours to successfully source, transport, and deliver quality manufactured goods and to lower your costs so you can focus on other parts of your business!
Manager of Manufacturing & Quality - Ningbo Office
James Kai
James is the manager of the Ningbo, China offices and is in charge of sourcing and maintaining meaningful relationships with our manufacturing partners in China. He has a degree from Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University. His degree is in international economics and finance. James partnered with Huisman Global Ventures in 2005 and has successfully managed over 400 projects to completion. He spends much of his time finding and negotiating with factories as well as setting up quality assurance checks prior to projects leaving the Ningbo port. James has excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin as well as English. He has been a long term partner who we can trust to get things done on time and on budget!
James Hellinga
General Manager - U.S. Office
James joined the Huisman Global Ventures team in 2021, after spending time in the global investment industry and with domestic logistics. He has degrees from Northwestern College in both Economics and Finance. James thrives on ensuring quality and meeting deadlines, while keeping customers informed every step of the way. When he’s not tracking shipments or walking through projects with customers, you can find him on the golf course, getting involved in the community, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Amanda Xu
Director of Exporting & Logistics - Ningbo Office
Amanda has worked alongside of James and Huisman Global Ventures for more than a decade. She attended Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, with a degree in International Trade. Amanda is bilingual and is very knowledgeable about international shipping as well as having strong relationships with many of our main factories in China. She has a superb understanding of many manufacturing processes which allows us to work on many different types of projects with our customers. Her ability to handle many project and shipping timelines makes sure your projects are on time!
Diane Vollink
Financial Executive - U.S. Office
Diane is the office manager of our Orange City, IA location. A few years ago, she worked part-time for Huisman Global and now has returned as a full-time employee. For over 40 years she has been working in the accounting field for local businesses including her husband’s construction business.
Bill M.
Operations Manager- India Office
Bill is our India representative, based in Northeast India with his wife. With a degree in engineering and over 20 years of experience living and working across multiple Asian countries, he brings a deep understanding of both technical manufacturing and regional business culture. Bill has built strong, trusted relationships with a wide network of manufacturers throughout India. He works across a broad range of industries and is passionate about fostering long-term, strategic partnerships built on trust and local insight.
Taylor Deegan
Operations Specialist - U.S. Office
Taylor started with Huisman Global Ventures in 2022, after earning experience within multiple fields including project management, regional logistics, regulatory compliance, and mechanical comprehension. He has degrees from Dordt University in International Business and Criminal Justice with a concentration on international relations and spent a semester in 5 countries throughout the Middle East. Taylor is best described as a very competent generalist with a passion for applying a wide range of skills to accomplish any task or problem that the company may encounter. When he isn't working on a project you will find him spending time with his wife and two boys. He is happy to help you with any of your business needs!
Bruce L.
Operations Manager- Taiwan Office
With years of experience in the precision machining industry, Bruce is an expert in machining manufacturing, tool design, and resource integration. He has built a robust network of resources across Taiwan and several Southeast Asian countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines) and has collaborated with numerous international companies, contributing his technical expertise and cross-cultural insight to enhance production efficiency and drive innovation. His in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and his ability to integrate global resources have made him a trusted partner in the industry.
Doug Carlson
Warehousing Manager - U.S. Office
Doug has a passion for making deliveries first and foremost! Give him a truck and a destination and he’s the happiest guy around! He manages our warehouse space and offloads all containers while checking in all the goods for accuracy in counts and packaging requirements before stocking the goods in our warehouse or making deliveries to your door. His years of experience in farming (his other love) and having worked for decades in other warehouses, he understands the processes and equipment needed to be efficient and safe.

Operations Manager- Vietnam Office
Alex leads our Vietnam operations and has lived in the country full-time for several years with his wife and children. Originally from the Midwest, he has developed strong relationships with manufacturers across a wide range of industries throughout Vietnam.
